Fast-N-Modded Vauxhall Corsa B

Well to start this blog off it would be rude not to give my good friend Chris Edmond a big up with his ongoing Corsa b 1.4 16v project.

Chris has been modifying his Corsa b for a number of years and has been through subtle but major mods to the bodywork and now the interior.

He has been attending shows for a number of years around the UK with the guys and girls over at, www.fast-n-modded.co.uk which is his local club.

He recently won awards at the Fast n Modded awards night:

2nd Best Interior 2010
3rd Belst Club Car of the Year
Staff Choice Award

You may have seen Chris's Corsa around the shows this year looking its best, he has still some plans up his sleeve which will be added over winter for the the 2011 show season.

Lets See some of the progress. Pics have been taken throughout the project by Chris himself and Photographer for Fast n Modded Rich Mckee.

How Chris's Corsa started out.
An almost standard black Vauxhall Corsa B Sport 1.4 16v

Then the progress began, with the addition of a debadged slatted grill, a set of headlight eyebrows and some chrome angel eye headlights.

Later he then added a set of  5 spoke TSW alloy wheels and also the additon of a Corsa Gsi front bumper and Gsi Sideskirts, he lowered the suspension by 60mm front and 40-50mm at the rear through a shock and spring kit, he also added the addition of a spoiler from a Citreon Saxo VTS on the top of the wrap around spoiler of the corsa to add a bit of his own style and a set of smoked lexus rear light clusters were added which then started to show what was the beginning of the mods to come.

Chris has also added some nice interior modifications throughout the stages.

A custom black upholstered roof liner was added with a flip down screen and custom ebroided with the famous Vauxhall griffin. A set of Black and Grey leather bucket seats to the front. Chris also likes his audio, he has a ripspeed flip out in-dash DVD Player, and an extensive range of Vibe audio within a Custom Boot Build.

Soon after these changes Chris has had a few ideas and implemented them to his Corsa and has made the car what it is Today.

He then booked his Corsa Back into Pauls Paint & Bodyshop of  Hedon on the outskirts of Hull, were some extensive modifications were made to the bodywork of the already OEM style Corsa Gsi replica.

Soonly after this Chris had it back off the road for more modifications.

Here is how it left Pauls Paint and Bodyshop with the following work carried out to make it what it is today.

Smoothing of the swaige lines and removal of the number plate recess.

He had the roof smoothed

In the background away from Pauls bodyshop, chris had been having some other work carried out by wheel em in of hull, were chris's new wheels were refurbed, and also smoothed and painted dashboard, smoothed and painted interior pillars and other plastic interior trim, front bumper smoothed into the wings, the lines smoothed between the bodywork and front and rear arches and sideskirts.

When he recieved his Corsa back, it was a big job adding all the newly modified parts in the Corsa ready for the 2010 show season and also to show off its fantastic colour combination.

here are the build up pics of  Chris's Corsa's new 2010 look.

After, this he added a set of Vauxhall Calibra Leather seats in Black and sent his doorcards to a re-trimming company who advertised through his local club fast-n-modded, where he discussed with them what he wanted and voila chris had his doorcards ready for his corsa.

He had them re-trimmed in black leather with yellow stitching.

Then Chris travelled to nearly all ends of the country with Fast-n-Modded attending national shows showing off his hard work, Chris also travelled last minute all the  way to Scotland at the scottish tuning show with fellow members of Fast-n-Modded and the guys over at Max Power to take place on the Max Power Club stand in the Show and Shine Arena.

Wanting to carry on the modifications for the 2011 show season and for the unveil at the Hulloween Cruise back in October 2010, (an event put on by Fast-n-Modded which is a great event with yearly growing potential to be even better), were he had his Corsa on show with the Peeps over at Wheel em In, with the additions to his interior.

This is Chris's Corsa up to date with plans over the winter for the 2011 show season, if these are anything to go by then this will be a major and awesome show car in the 2011 show season, chris has created his own style of OEM+ modifications to his Corsa and, great job, you may see Chris's corsa in the metal at the 2011 shows on the Fast-n-Modded club stand.

If you would like to see more pics of this you can head on over to Fast-n-Modded and read his progress thread on there Club forum, were you may see more of Fast-n-Modded Cars within the next coming months with a fair few show cars getting ready for the 2011 show season to go along with Chris's Corsa b.
